With a subsidiary in Wilmington, North Carolina, ELEKTRA now offers its high-quality lighting systems in the USA as well. The specialist in flexible lighting solutions can thus supply furniture manufacturers and shopfitters locally with smart and sustainable lighting solutions.

Perfect timing: In the run-up to KBIS in Las Vegas, ELEKTRA decided to open its own office in the USA. “We’ve been considering the idea of establishing a local presence for our American customers for some time now – furniture manufacturers and shopfitters have a high demand for innovative and reliable lighting systems,” explains Boris Niessing, Managing Director of ELEKTRA GmbH. It was therefore clear that the lighting experts from Enger would serve this market directly through their own subsidiary. Furthermore, the US team brings with it the necessary expertise to meet country-specific requirements.

From 2024, our colleagues in Wilmington, North Carolina, will be on hand to assist manufacturers and distributors. The office building will include an external warehouse to ensure rapid delivery. Through additional retail partners, ELEKTRA ensures a reliable service. Boris Niessing explains: “We chose Wilmington because many kitchen professionals and shopfitters have set up business in the region – we want to tap into this market and exploit its potential.”

At KBIS (27–29 February 2024) in Las Vegas, the ELEKTRA team is looking forward to welcoming many customers. Among the products on display: the Vario D10 electrification rail, which makes it easy to adjust shelves along with their lighting. ELEKTRA is presenting this product specifically for the American market with UL certification. Visitors will also be able to experience the LD 8228 and LD 8288 lighting systems in person. These consist of a delicate, low-profile ring light and an aluminium profile light with a cross-section of 8 × 8 millimetres. Boris Niessing adds: “Our products are all ‘Designed in Germany’, but naturally have UL certification and are therefore ideally suited to the American market.”
